I research the processes that generate submarine geohazards in volcanic, tectonic, and sedimentary environments — from explosive eruptions to mass-wasting events and associated tsunami risks. By integrating multiscale reflection-seismic and hydroacoustic imaging with core-log data and geochemical analyses, my work characterizes sub-seafloor architecture, reconstructs eruptive and tectonic dynamics, and assesses sediment stability and hazard potential in regions where direct observations are limited but societal relevance is high.
