ABOUT JOANNE TIPPETT
I invented Ketso. We launched this social business to make the ideas that emerged in my research around effective engagement and workshops accessible to people around the world. It is now used in over 85 countries. Our pandemic-inspired innovation, Ketso Connect, is putting a hands-on kit for active learning in students\' hands to increase their engagement with learning, whatever the teaching setting. I manage the overall direction of the business, and bring over 25 years of experience in community and stakeholder engagement to designing workshops and helping customers to make the most of Ketso. As a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Environment, Education and Development at The University of Manchester, I continue the teaching and research that led to Ketso and apply this learning in environmental planning, including work to restore the Carbon Landscape.#iamCEnv
