Collaborating closely with families in the BCSD district, we\'re building a school focused on excellence, innovation, and inclusion.Our goal is simple: remove barriers, create opportunities, and help every student thrive. Opening our doors in 2024, we\'re committed to providing high-quality learning space where students can grow academically, creatively, and emotionally.I\'m honored to lead this important initiative, shaping the future of education and supporting Bakersfield\'s youth.

ABOUT JOANNA KENDRICK
I am an educational leader and advocate who puts kids first. Period. I\'m deeply passionate about reforming the education system, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be doing so right here in Central California where I was born and raised. I want our city to be a place children can make their dreams come true.We\'ve overcome countless challenges to open Bakersfield\'s very first charter school. It\'s been a journey marked by determination and resilience, but seeing our vision come to life makes every battle worthwhile. I am inspired by two wonderful girls. I am navigating the public school system, like so many other families, and doing my best to give my girls the future they deserve. My experiences as a former teacher, principal, and family advocate have shaped my perspective and emboldened my heart to fight for high quality education. I firmly believe that no parent should ever have to settle for a school that fails to meet their child\'s needs. Free, HIGH QUALITY public education is the promise we make to families. We need bold leadership and empowered parents to lead the way. Public education needs a new script.Bureaucracy and the status quo are holding our schools hostage, keeping us tied to a system that is failing the majority of families. Our kids need modern schools where they feel inspired. We\'re in dire need of reinventing schools, and that means cutting through the red tape and embracing bold, innovative approaches.Connect with me and let\'s make a difference together.
