My career began in urban Los Angeles, where I championed equitable access to STEM learning for multilingual learners, and has since evolved into leadership roles focused on building communities of practice that foster culturally responsive and standards-aligned teaching. As Department Chair of Teaching and Leadership, Program Chair, and Vice-Chair of Faculty Governance at my university, I lead with a commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and continuous program improvement. I also serve on California’s Committee on Accreditation and as a Site Visit Lead Assessor for AAQEP, guiding institutions through equitable, evidence-based review processes.
