In my current role as a Trainee Educational Psychologist, I work under the supervision of the Principal Educational Psychologist to support the educational and emotional development of children and young people. I conduct psychological assessments using a variety of tools to identify learning difficulties and behavioural challenges, while prioritizing and amplifying the voices of the children and young people I work with. I collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored interventions, ensuring that the perspectives and experiences of the children are central to the strategies employed. Additionally, I participate in consultations, providing guidance to teachers and parents, and contribute to the creation and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs). My role also involves engaging in ongoing professional development through training, research, and reflective practice to enhance my skills and knowledge in educational psychology.
