In addition to the vocation of educational leadership, Jay has worked for many years continuing his first career as a professional musician, choral clinician. Jay is a strong supporter of the arts in Lancaster PA, particularly Music For Everyone (MFE) for which he serves on a steering committee and hosts an annual fundraiser. Jay is currently Co-director of Parkside Harmony, a men\'s vocal ensemble currently ranked in the top ten internationally (BHS). He is also the lead singer in Warehouse Flats a vocal quartet and a candidate singing judge for the Barbershop Harmony SocietyOther musical enterprises include choral festival guest conducting, coaching of vocal ensembles, guest conducting, church musician, instruction at barbershop harmony schools across the US, Canada, Germany and Nederland. As a soloist, Jay has sung in regional opera, musical theater, oratorio and major choral works. Jay has also been seen in numerous ensembles, including Triad, Musical Associates, Free Trade Agreement (MAD district champ & BHS semifinalist), Touchstone (MAD district champ), Top Shelf and the Alexandria Harmonizers Chorus (4 time world champion BHS).Jay is a coach of the 2012 BHS champion senior quartet, Faces4Radio, MAD District champions Mayhem and Route 1, as well as several other ensembles.
