I am a passionate advocate for fostering inclusivity, empowering communities, and driving meaningful change. Recognised as a thought leader and change-maker, I have dedicated my career to bridging divides, cultivating leadership, and strengthening social cohesion. I was honoured with a doctorate by the University of Bradford in 2022 and included in the influential list, celebrating my impact on academia and the Muslim community. My work spans higher education, faith-based initiatives, and grassroots community development, focusing on interfaith understanding, conflict resolution, and leadership training. My Expertise Includes: Community Engagement: Designing and delivering impactful initiatives such as the Jewish-Muslim Iftar in Bradford, interfaith events, and the ‘faith trail’ programme to educate policing students on cultural dynamics. Leadership Development: Founding the Professional Muslim Institute (PMI) to cultivate leadership within Britain’s Muslim communities and hosting national networking events to empower professionals. Safeguarding and Faith Support: Partnering with Strengthening Faith Institutions to implement safeguarding initiatives that ensure well-being and safety across UK communities. Academic Contributions* Delivering thought-provoking sessions, such as the Bradford Riots 2001 presentation and lectures on community engagement for Policing and Criminology students at Leeds Trinity University.
