Current projects include magical tourism, new animism (conversations with nature/more than human), storytelling, folklore, legends and mythologies, light installations and festivals, heritage authenticity.Co-chair, Canterbury World Heritage Site Management CommitteeExecutive Member, British Association of Canadian StudiesCo-lead of the COaST (Cultural Offerings in Seaside Towns) research group. Our first Symposium \"On the threshold: Culture and change in towns by the sea\" took place July 2013 and our next,\"Seascapes: The Cultural Life of Seaside Towns,\" is planned for 28 May 2014 at the Turner Contemporary Gallery, Margate.Chair of Canterbury Heritage Partnership.Member of East Kent City of Culture Steering Group.Member of Canterbury 4 Culture.PhD \"Cities of Imagination\" assesses tourist and tourism manager perceptions of heritage authenticity in 15 English historic cities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Bath and Durham, using over 1200 photographs.Implementing the Golden Night light show celebrating Canterbury Christ Church University\'s Golden Jubilee in 2012, in partnership with the University of Kent School of Architecture.
