ABOUT ISOBEL HERBERT
A graduate from the University of York having studied Psychology with Integrated Masters in Developmental Disorders (4 year programme). Modules within my Psychology degree and Masters course in Developmental Disorders include extensive knowledge of childhood disorders (Autism, ADHD, Specific Language Impairment and Dyslexia/Dyscalculia) as well as comprehensive understanding of children’s cognitive, behavioural and biological development. Alongside this, I possess an excellent standard of written work, statistical analysis skills and presentation abilities. I am seeking a role within Education that offers career progression and relevance to my degree. My vast volunteering work whilst at the University of York has allowed a personal gain towards understanding the working environment, developing effective communication skills, team working and problem solving. By studying for a degree alongside working, I can offer relevant, in-depth knowledge regarding childhood development as well as first-hand experience in an educational setting, especially working with children with SEN. I am a highly confident and motivated individual who is easily adaptable. My skills enable me to solve problems quickly and efficiently to provide innovative solutions and demonstrate initiative. I am competent individual who is flexible and able to adapt quickly as a quick and willing worker.
