An eminent artist, painter and a distinguished academician in the field of Fine Arts, Dr. Indu Joshi is the Associate Professor and Head, Department of Fine Arts, Agra College, Agra. A Gold Medalist in her Master’s she was awarded University Research Scholarship for carrying out her doctoral research. Dr. Indu has travelled widely across the world and studied artwork collections at several globally renowned museums and monuments including British Museum and National Gallery, London (UK); National Gallery of Art and Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), Washington DC; Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (USA), Muse-de-Orsay and the Louvre, Paris (France); Leonardo Museum, Milan; Gallerie dell’Accademia, Venice; Saint Mark’s Basilica and Museum, Florence; National Museum of Royal Palace, Pisa; Vatican Museums, Capitoline Museums, Colosseum and Roman Forum, Rome (Italy) besides in Switzerland, UAE and Singapore. Dr. Indu participated in several international and national art-exhibitions besides receiving several approbations including award by State Lalit Kala (Fine Arts) Academy, Lucknow. She has been included in the Catalogue of Contemporary Artists by U P State Lalit Kala Academy and the List of Artists by India’s national Lalit Kala (Fine Arts) Academy, New Delhi. She is also the Member of Organising Committee and also Jury Member for ‘Regional Art Exhibition’ organised by State Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow. Her paintings are preserved in several public and private collections in India and abroad. Dr. Indu is highly sought after artist and academician for Art-Exhibitions, Conferences and Seminars.
