Dr. Ike ILochonwu is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine, and Emergency Room Physician. He serves as the CEO and Chief Medical Officer of RapidCare Emergency Room & Healthcare and ProCenture Healthcare Solutions.He graduated as valedictorian with summa cum laude honors in Biology from Texas Southern University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Additionally, he graduated honors and as valedictorian from Good Shepherd Secondary School.Dr. ILochonwu completed his postgraduate training and residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he received recognition for his clinical skills, including the Gold Star Award for excellence in patient care. He has also received multiple academic and humanitarian awards for excellence in leadership and serviceHe has a passion for teaching, clinical work, charity, and medical missions. He was an associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch and collaborated with numerous non-profits, private, public, and independent groups across diverse medical specialties, and possesses extensive knowledge of various practice management systems. As a leader in various organizations, Dr. ILochonwu employs a unique team-building approach that fosters collaboration among physicians, extenders, staff, and clients in his organizations. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at a hospital, CEO/President/Vice President/COO of medical practice management groups, Chairman of non-profits, and Medical Director. He also serves as a consultant and advisor to hospitals, hospitalist and ER groups, and healthcare practices.Dr. ILochonwu oversees, manages, and employs over 70 physicians across his Emergency Room facilities and medical groups, and employs over 300 healthcare staff across all his companies and establishments.In his free time, Dr. ILochonwu enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is a passionate and avid reader, particularly on topics such as business, medicine, history, geography, politics, and public policy, especially their impact on local and global healthcare. He also enjoys traveling, playing soccer and basketball with friends and family, and working out.
