ABOUT IFY OKADIGBO
I am a decolonial feminist scholar and educator whose work is rooted in advancing gender justice, equity, and collective wellbeing. I am currently a Ph.D. Researcher and Teaching and Research Assistant in Gender, Feminist, and Women’s Studies at York University (Toronto), and I hold dual Master’s degrees in Gender and International Development and Gender, Feminist, and Women’s Studies.My interdisciplinary work brings together decolonial theory, coloniality, and intersectional methodologies to explore how power shapes social life, knowledge production, and everyday experiences. I am especially interested in bridging critical scholarship with applied research and community engaged practice.With over a decade of experience across research, teaching, monitoring and assessment, and stakeholder engagement, I bring a collaborative, anti racist, and impact driven approach to my work. I have extensive experience translating complex ideas into accessible insights for diverse audiences across academic, public, and community spaces.Across roles and sectors, I am motivated by connection and impact supporting inclusive leadership, meaningful dialogue, and evidence-informed work that contributes to more just and equitable futures for minoritized peoples.
