ABOUT HETANSHU PAREKH

After completing my undergraduate training at the esteemed Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, I have gained more than a decade of valuable experience in the field of surgery. I have gained specialized training in General Surgery at Baroda Medical College, Vadodara, Gujarat, and my super specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Hospital And Medical College, Mumbai.During my three years of M.Ch. training, I received in-depth training in various aspects of plastic surgery, including trauma surgery, hand surgery, burns, cosmetic surgery, and correction of congenital defects. My time at the B.J Wadia hospital for children in Mumbai allowed me to receive specialized training in the management of cleft lip and palate, complex congenital hand deformities, and obstetric brachial plexus surgery and acute burns in children. As a Specialist Senior Resident at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, I completed a fellowship in microsurgery, which has allowed me to develop expertise in the reconstruction of various defects post oncological resection of head and neck, breast, soft tissue, and bone cancers and lymphedema management. I am proud to have been actively involved in patient care, research, academic, and teaching activities here during my tenure. Since being appointed as an Assistant Professor in the plastic surgery department at MPMMCC, Tata Memorial Hospital, Varanasi, I have worked tirelessly to set up the department and establish microsurgical reconstructive services here and through dedication and hard work, I have been promoted to Associate Professor. My current role at Tata Memorial Hospital, Varanasi has helped me to develop a compassionate and patient-centric approach. Moving forward, I am eager to expand my horizons in aesthetic and body contouring surgery while continuing to pursue excellence in reconstructive microvascular surgery post-cancer ablation as well as post-major trauma. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to providing complete holistic management and care to all my patients. I am a sincere, hardworking, and dedicated individual who is always willing to take up opportunities and learn from them. My ultimate aim is to ensure that all my patients receive the highest level of care and achieve the best possible outcomes both functionally and aesthetically.
