I am an accomplished Clinical Leader and Consultant Nephrologist with over a decade of experience in advancing healthcare delivery, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and driving innovation in system-wide improvements, pathway redesign, and quality improvement. I currently serve as Divisional Medical Director at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Trust. My academic foundation includes MBBS, MRCP (Nephrology), and an MSc in Health Economics, Policy, and Management from the London School of Economics, where I was honoured with the prestigious Brian Abel-Smith Prize for Best Dissertation. This strong academic background, combined with practical leadership experience, underpins my commitment to delivering data-driven, cost-effective, and patient-centred improvements.I have led complex healthcare projects, including service mergers and pathway redesigns. As Clinical Director for Nephrology at Aintree Hospital, I worked with my counterpart to successfully merge and integrate Nephrology services across Liverpool University Hospitals. This initiative improved timely access to specialist care at a regional level and was recognised with a Trust Innovation Award. As ICB Lead for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Cheshire and Mersey, I spearheaded the CORE Kidney Project, tackling health inequalities, enhancing CKD detection, and optimising treatment pathways through data-driven strategies and multidisciplinary collaboration. This initiative set a benchmark for scalable, patient-centred care.In my current role, I have led reablement pathway redesigns, focusing on early identification and parallel planning to improve outcomes and reduce hospital length of stay, a project I oversee as Senior Responsible Officer.I am passionate about advancing digital innovation in healthcare and currently implementing Nephrology Telehealth Integration Project, streamlining care delivery across CKD, vasculitis, and renal ambulatory clinics. These efforts support NHS digital transformation goals, improving both access and outcomes.Committed to preventative care, operational excellence, and sustainability, I align clinical strategies with innovation to drive transformation. As a Clinical Entrepreneur Fellow, I champion entrepreneurial approaches to improving healthcare delivery.Let’s connect to explore opportunities to shape the future of healthcare.
