I am a magna cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University, where I earned my bachelor\'s degree in chemistry. I received my medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed my residency training in Family Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. I later completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University. Over the course of my career, I practiced full-scope primary care and held multiple leadership roles within outpatient medicine. I served as Site-Based Medical Director for Carmel Family Physicians for 5 years and later as Medical Director of a concierge medical practice, where I focused on personalized care delivery, operational excellence, and physician leadership.Most recently, I served as Lead Physician for Novant Health Mint Hill Family Medicine (and for a short-term at Blakeney Family Physicians) where I provided comprehensive patient care while guiding clinical workflows, mentoring staff, and supporting quality and compliance initiatives. These roles strengthened my expertise in evidence-based decision-making, clinical documentation, utilization considerations, and healthcare operations.My clinical career has been defined by a commitment to patient-centered care, strong physician leadership, and thoughtful system navigation. My clinical experience has laid the foundation for my transition into national medical leadership and utilization management.
