ABOUT HAMED ZANDIAN
I am Dr. Hamed Zandian, a passionate and driven Senior Lecturer in Public Health Economics at the Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing, University of the West of England, Bristol. With a strong academic foundation, I earned my PhD in Health Policy & Economics from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, complemented by an MSc in Social Welfare Management and a BSc in Health Services Management.Throughout my career, I have held pivotal academic and administrative roles, including Associate Professor at Ardabil University of Medical Sciences and Director of the Social Determinants of Health Research Centre. My research is deeply rooted in understanding how health policies, such as Brexit, impact health systems and the social determinants of health. I have a keen interest in economic evaluations, health service utilization, and policy analysis.I have authored over 100 papers in prestigious journals, contributing significantly to the global health discourse. My research has gained widespread recognition, placing me among the top 1% of most cited research scientists since 2022 and earning me the title of Exceptional Talent by The British Academy in 2024.
