ABOUT GURUNATH PARALE

Dr. Gurunath Parale is an Interventional Cardiologist having a vast experience of more than 25 years he is also a clinician-scientist, and Director at the Ashwini Co-operative Hospital and Research Center of Solapur, Maharashtra. After doing his MD at Dr. V. M. Government Medical College he obtained his DM from prestigious institute of PGI, Chandigarh. He has also been fellow of American College of Cardiology, fellow of Cardiological Society of India, nad fellow of Indian College of Physicians. He is currently Executive Body Member of Indian Society of Electrocardiology, and Professor of Medicine at Ashwini Rural Medical College. He is involved in complex percutaneous coronary interventions and structural heart disease procedures. He routinely performs chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI, rotational atherectomy, IABP/ Impella assisted-PCI, complex bifurcation stenting, left-main stenting, and bypass graft PCI. His main research interests are focused on CTO, PCI, bioabsorbable scaffolds, and vascular access- Angiographies - Angioplasties - 1,500+ Balloon Mitral Valvotomies - 400+ Permanent Pacemaker Implantations - Echocardiograms - Stress Tests Dr. Parale has published over 36 publications (many as first author). He has presented complicated cases at interventional congresses like TCT, and EURO PCR. Dr. Parale has conducted over a hundred sessions at Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes for physicians, general practitioners and others. He has conducted many free camps in the rural areas of Solapur and has been interviewed on television to educate patients on heart-related ailments.
