My responsibilities include:• As the chair, I preside over the in-house independent safety review committee (iSRC), similar to the Independent Data Monitoring Committee (IDMC), safeguarding participants\' ethical and safety interests while maintaining data integrity.• Heading safety evaluations for the due diligence of potential GSK assets within the Global Safety Specialty Team.• Offering medical and scientific expertise for the safety assessment and risk management of significant GSK assets, throughout clinical development and post-marketing.• Performing comprehensive reviews and analyses of data, addressing safety concerns, and escalating them to senior management and safety governance as needed, as well as proposing strategies for risk characterization, management, and communication.• Serving as a safety representative in global change matrix workstreams to expedite submissions across regions.• Acting as an appraiser for the General Medical Council: evaluating doctors at GSK according to Good Medical Practice.Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a safety representative and advocate.
