ABOUT GRACE GAO
I am a critical organizational scholar. My research mainly draws upon feminist theories (e.g, intersectionality), interrogating work on the gendered nature of non-traditional employment and the emergence of women in male-dominated sectors across borders. As Associate Editor for Gender, Work & Organization and co-editor of two groundbreaking special issues (International Journal of Management Reviews and Management Learning), I aim to advance critical dialogues on gender, time, and marginalized epistemologies in management research. I have also published work on singlehood, mobility, and work-family integration across various contexts. I am currently doing projects on the topic of advancing inclusion for East and Southeast Asian academics in the UK Higher Education and how female entrepreneurs manage evolving relationships across the life-cycle.
