ABOUT GORDON HILL
As the International Lead for Nursing and Community and Public Health at the School of Health and Life Sciences, Glasgow Caledonian University, my role focuses on international student support, international marketing, trans-national education, articulation, innovation, and recruitment. I am dedicated to promoting a student-centred approach, decolonising the curriculum, and enhancing cultural competence.Additionally, I am the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation at Glasgow Caledonian University. My expertise spans clinical research, evidence-based practice, and technology-enhanced learning. I have extensively presented on clinical research nursing, teaching and learning, and research ethics. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.I completed my Professional Doctorate at Queen Margaret University in 2018 and have overseen two doctoral completions, one as Director of Studies. In 2023, I joined the Steering Committee of the RCN Research Forum, became a Board Member at The Welcoming charity in Edinburgh, and was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University in Australia.I am an author and co-author on a number of papers and am on the editorial board of the Journal of Research in Nursing. I am a strong advocate for the power of podcasts and social media and actively engage on LinkedIn and Instagram.
