Genevie has almost 18 years of experience working as a detention officer for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. She has been afforded the opportunity to grow in various areas within the MCSO. She is currently assigned as a full time firearms instructor at the range as a pistol, rifle, and shotgun instructor. Certified AZPOST Firearms Instructor. Certified Armorer for Glock pistols. Certified armorer for AR-15/M16 platforms. Certified as a General Instructor teaching academies and advanced officer classes since 2012. She is an AZPOST Specialized Instructor for Stress Management. Certified FBINAA Resiliency Instructor. Certified Adjunct Professor for Rio Salado College through a partnership between the MCSO and RSCC. She earned a PhD in forensic psychology with an emphasis on crisis response while working full time for the MCSO.
