Theatre, Dance and Speech Theatre, Dance and Speech: Main objective is to function as a resource for theatre/dance educators in Birmingham City Schools. As the theatre/dance resource instructor I have the opportunity of demonstrating effective activities, team teaching and providing a variety of classroom instructions which maximize students understanding of performing arts. • Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to optimize the smooth functioning of the classroom and facilitate a positive learning atmosphere. • Evaluate students’ speech and theatrical progression. • Work with students ages 8-18 on communication, verbal, and speech skills. • Direct and produce plays for elementary -secondary students. • Assist students with articulation and pronunciation skills
