I am a passionate and dedicated Physician Assistant/Associate with over a decade of experience in critical care, emergency medicine, tactical medicine, and PA education. I hold a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) with a focus on PA Education, as well as advanced training in medical sonography. Throughout my career, I’ve served in various leadership roles, including Program Director and Chair of Physician Assistant Programs, where I developed curricula, led accreditation efforts, and mentored future healthcare providers.At the forefront of PA education and tactical medicine, my current role as a Program Director/ Chair of the Dept. of PA Medicine and ARC-PA Site Visitor/Recommendation Panel reflects a deep commitment to advancing clinical competencies and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, my dedication to excellence in healthcare is recognized by peers and the community alike.With a history of delivering talks at professional conferences internationally, I am passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering growth in the field of PA practice. My leadership and advocacy work with the AAPA, MOAPA, NAPA, PAEA, and NCAPA underscores a career devoted to service and education.My clinical expertise spans hospital medicine, ICU care, and emergency response, including roles as a senior PA for a large level 1 Trauma Center and Deputy Police Surgeon. I have a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes and supporting healthcare teams in high-pressure environments. In addition to my clinical work, I have spearheaded educational initiatives, particularly in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and have been a frequent speaker at national conferences.I am also dedicated to serving underserved communities through medical missions across Africa and Central America, where I’ve worked to improve access to healthcare and mentor students in global health. As an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare, I have served on multiple committees to advance these principles in PA education.With extensive experience in critical care, tactical medicine, and education, I am excited to explore new opportunities where I can continue to lead, teach, and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare field.
