This interaction helps them understand their treatment plans and encourages medication adherence.*Patient safety and quality improvement programs: This involvement aims to enhance the overall quality of care provided to patients.*Chemo admixture preparation: involved in preparing chemo admixtures whenever required. This task demands adherence to proper procedures and safety guidelines.*Providing drug information: I respond to drug-related queries from healthcare professionals. Ensuring the information provided is evidence-based, up-to-date, relevant, and accurate.*Assisting pharmacy operations: Assists the pharmacy in-charge with operational tasks such as control of medication expiry, floor stock checking, and overall stock management.*Auditing medication storage: I conduct audits of nursing floor stocks and crash carts to ensure the safe storage and appropriate use of medications.*Multidisciplinary team participation: I represent the pharmacy department in various multidisciplinary teams such as the International Patient Safety Goals Committee and Medication Management and Use Committee.These responsibilities collectively contribute to ensuring safe and effective medication practices, promoting patient safety, and improving the overall quality of pharmaceutical care within Apollo Hospital.
