ABOUT EMMA RICHARDSON

Highly proficient innovation management and bid writing professional with significant experience in obtaining grant funding from non-dilutive sources. I have honed my skills to a fine art having written 300+ applications across many different industries and sectors. Due to my technical background, I am particularly adept at- creating overarching technology development plans- horizon scanning for potential future competitive threats- assessing freedom to operate- funding strategy planning- writing grant applications and business plans focused on achieving funding to develop Life Science, Medical Device, and Biotechnology products and services. I also have a good understanding of the regulatory frameworks operational within these sectors. I have a long track record and proven success helping private companies, academic institutions and public institutions to leverage grant funding from UK and EU sources, including- Innovate UK (SMART, OPEN, iCURE, Agri-Tech Catalyst, Biomedical Catalyst, Digital Health Catalyst, Emerging and Enabling Technologies, Energy Catalyst, Health & Life Sciences, Materials and Manufacturing, First of a Kind, Accelerating Innovation in Rail)- SBRI - Horizon 2020 SME Instrument - Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative The projects I have successfully obtained grant funding for range from £100k feasibility single company applications to large, multi-partner infrastructure projects in excess of £70 million. In addition to my expertise in Biotechnology, Medical Devices, In Vitro Diagnostics, Agricultural and Life Science projects, I also have significant experience in Industry 4.0, IoT, Digital Construction, Emerging Technologies, Materials & Process Development, Oil & Gas, and Artificial Intelligence projects.
