ABOUT ELLA TAGLIAVINI

I am a chartered psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a current sport and exercise psychologist in training (SEPiT) with the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES). I completed my PhD at Loughborough University in 2023, where I was funded by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to understand and improve how parents, athletes, and coaches work together to foster performance and development. ​Previously, I played football for clubs such as Fulham and Chelsea as well as representing England at various youth levels before moving to the USA to compete as a Division One student-athlete at Louisiana State University (LSU) between 2014 and 2017. I also spent time living and snowboarding in the French and Italian Alps before returning to England to complete my MSc at Roehampton University in Sport and Exercise Psychology. I took a four-year break from football following two consecutive ACL reconstructive surgeries between 2020 and 2022 before returning to play for Fulham FC Women\'s First team, where I continue to compete.I am also a qualified football, futsal, tennis coach and scuba diver and have completed the TASS Athlete Performance Development and Lifestyle Certificate, UK Anti-Doping Certificate and NCFE Mental Health Awareness Certificate. I have experience working for Fulham FC and Leicester City FC, delivering CPD sessions on the UK Sport CPD programme and publishing various articles and modules for international journals and NGBs. I also currently lecture to and supervise university students at the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB - Wembley).
