ABOUT ELENA ATZENI

As a Ph.D. in International Law and Fulbright alumna at UC Berkeley with over 15 years of experience in international organizations, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing human rights, refugee protection, and social inclusion. From legal clerkships at international tribunals to leading integration initiatives at UNHCR, I’ve worked across sectors and continents to support forcibly displaced persons and promote justice.Currently based in Milan and serving as Integration Associate at UNHCR, I collaborate with institutions, NGOs, businesses and communities to develop inclusive policies and services. I bring a strong legal foundation, cross-cultural fluency, and a passion for building bridges between people, systems, and sectors.I’m always curious about how legal expertise and human rights values can contribute to broader societal goals—whether in public institutions, academia, or mission-driven private initiatives. I value meaningful collaboration and am open to conversations that explore new ways to create impact.
