Chair-side assist to OMFS residents and faculty during complex cases (under nitrous oxide and IV-sedation cases, medically complex histories such as schizophrenia, radiation history)—surgical extractions, lesion removal via laser sinus lifts, bone grafts, implant placement, sclerosing osteomyelitis, ORN/BRONJ management, traumatic tooth splinting.2. Anticipate surgical needs to keep procedures efficient, document patient care using EPIC, use 3D scanners for oral cavity mapping, and take dental impressions (including with alginate).3. Received CPR certification and training on emergencies during sedation to ensure I can assist should a medical emergency arise.4. Maintain sterile surgical fields and instrument trays for a full schedule of oral-maxillofacial procedures, rigorously following OSHA and UNC infection-control protocols.5. Self-direct learning to drive future implantology ambitions by assisting resident and faculty-led implant surgeries, staging kits, and sitting in on pre- and post-op patient consultations—gaining end-to-end insight that will prepare me to place implants independently.
