ABOUT DONISHA BAILEY

Dr. Donisha N. Bailey is a mother of 1, and was born and raised in East Cleveland, Ohio. She is an Intervention Specialist, and the founder of The Literacy Club with Dr. Bailey, a nonprofit organization that promotes literacy through writing, speaking, and listening skills. Dr. Bailey earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University, a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Notre Dame College, and a Doctorate Degree from Walden University in Educational Administration. She is currently entering her final semester in the Inspired Leader’s Principal Program at Cleveland State University. Over the last 7 years Dr. Bailey has served in both the charter and public school settings in which she has taught grades 2-5 and 9-12. She has also served as a Dean of Student Life and Management. Currently, Dr. Bailey is an Intervention Specialist in the Euclid City School District, a columnist for the East Clevelander, and a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. Dr. Bailey is the author of the book S.O.S. Saving Our Students: A Collaborative Approach to Intervention, a tool created to emphasize the importance of collaboration in inclusive classrooms, and the professional development sessions that are needed to assist educators in providing high quality instruction. Dr. Bailey is passionate about working in the community, and saving our students by tailoring lessons to their needs, through differentiation, small group instruction, collaboration, and professional development.
