Responsible for the creation, development and launching of college wide initiatives that further the mission and vision of Pacific Oaks College. Engaging in culturally empathic research and scholarship to address needs that communities have identified as important and relevant to their ability to thrive and capacity to meet with success. Collaborating with communities and organizations to identify needs that align with our student’s fieldwork/internship service requirement. Our student practitioners gain invaluable experience in the community and the communities gain a support system of expertise to catalyze their mission and expand their service capacity. Partnering with diverse sectors of communities across the world to support efforts that increase access, address inequity, highlight injustice and support positive community change from a strength based perspective. Responsible for the coordination and evaluation of Pacific Oaks College’s (POC) School of Human Development (HD) programs which include three Masters’ (MA) and two Bachelors’ (BA) degree programs in: Advocacy & Social Justice, Organizational Leadership & Change and Human Development. Over 55% of the institution’s total enrollment of students matriculate in HD programs. Accountable for the strategic management of a $2.2M budget to hire faculty, train and develop faculty and staff, innovate curriculum, create new programs and improve learning outcomes. Responsible for the maintenance of programmatic quality and academic consistency across two California campuses (Pasadena and San Jose), 12 Southern California off-site cohorts (San Diego, East LA, South LA, North Hollywood etc.) and two instructional modalities (on-line and on-ground). Responsible for the direct supervision of eight full-time staff and faculty members in addition to over 80 part-time adjunct faculty members.
