ABOUT DIVYA VERMA
Dr. Divya Verma is a Professor at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, working at the intersection of financial markets, financial stability, behavioural finance, and public policy. Her work focuses on understanding how market structure, investor behaviour, and institutional design influence financial system resilience and economic outcomes.She has led nationally funded policy-relevant research projects on household savings and investment behaviour, market microstructure, climate finance, disinvestment and market efficiency, and currently heads the Indraprastha Centre for Strategy and Policy Research, which promotes interdisciplinary and evidence-based policy research. Her academic work has been published in national and international indexed journals, and she has authored eight books on finance, financial markets, behavioural finance and economic development.Dr. Verma also contributes to institutional governance and quality assurance as a NAAC Peer Team Assessor and has been actively involved in accreditation and benchmarking processes. She is the coordinator of the online and distance learning management programme in the University, supporting regulatory compliance and capacity building in higher education.Beyond academia, she engages in public policy outreach and capacity building through national MOOCs on financial markets, televised lectures, YouTube and invited talks at academic and policy forums in India and abroad.
