Youth Advocates are responsible for performing daily activities with homeless youth at the Star House; engages in conversation with at-risk youth about varying subjects that may sometimes be uncomfortable and challenging topics; provides support and encouragement for clients related to counseling and intervention provided through the center; assists youth with resume and skill development as well as job searches; directs and oversees day-to-day youth activities around the center; assists with upkeep of facility; maintains supplies for center; assists with outreach activities as needed; other duties as assigned.
