ABOUT DEEPA DANI

Dr. Deepa Dani is an economist and a development specialist from the University of Cambridge, UK. A Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar and currently an Assistant Professor at the Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune University, India, her areas of academic interests include International Economics and Development economics, in specific, FDI, policy studies and processes. Deepa has authored an EBook titled, Decoding Foreign Direct Investments: With Special Reference to India and co-authored two six books titled Indian Banking System, Financial Markets and Institutions in India, International Relations, International Business Management and International Economics (for various courses in BA Economics and B. Com). Her research articles have been published in reputed national research journals and popular media. She delivers lectures on several areas of public policy. She is also a motivational speaker. Recipient of several national and international awards and scholarships for academic excellence, Deepa is respected for her inquiry based and interactive instruction style in and outside of classroom, where she specializes in facilitative learning. Deepa has developed, initiated and implementing two of the most ambitious student development initiatives at the Ness Wadia College of Commerce. The Undergraduate Research Program and Mental Ability Improvement Program for undergrads. She is also Editor of Research Studies Compendium. The meld of her exposure of working with global organizations in rural India, experience in research and consulting, and academics, allows Deepa to add value to every organization she is associated with. A good understanding of development projects, policies and their complexities at the ground level along with experience of monitoring and report writing adds to her skill sets. Accomplishing objectives with enthusiasm and flexibility, coupled with a dash of humor while maintaining a strong work ethic is her forte. She is known for a keen eye for detail, ability to adapt and maintain positivity within and outside of her. An avid traveler and golfer, and a mother of two bright young kids, Deepa loves life and believes in achieving the highest and the best.
