About David Prince
I am interested in a faculty position teaching Criminal Justice and Business Administration, in the classroom and online, from a regionally accredited college or university. My skills and experiences, which include 30 years in law enforcement and 15 years of university teaching experience, make me an ideal candidate for this position. After 30 years in law enforcement, I retired in 2012 as a Lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division to pursue my doctorate degree so I could expand my opportunities to share my knowledge and experience with aspiring criminal justice and business students. This journey began in 2005 when I completed my Master’s Degree and began teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice. I have found the teaching experience profoundly rewarding. The overwhelmingly positive responses received over the years from my students were quite inspiring, so much so that in 2012, I embarked upon the path to obtain my doctorate degree so that I might teach full-time. My teaching experience has been as an Adjunct Professor at multiple regionally accredited universities for the past 14 years, both in the classroom and online. I am proficient with Blackboard, Canvass, D2L and Moodle. My strengths are found in my 30 years of law enforcement coupled with my great story telling abilities and my keen sense of humor which serve as a catalyst for learning through the sharing of real-world application of the concepts in the curriculum. I enjoy the interaction I have with all of my students and I strive to connect with each one of them. I make myself available to every student 7 days a week by email or cell phone. In July 2017, I graduated from Northcentral University with a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration and Criminal Justice with three honor society awards. My dissertation was titled “A Multiple Case Study of Youth Violence Prevention using An Evidence-Based Program” which was published in 2017.
