About Corydon Strawser

I am an educator and curricula designer who embodies research-based pedagogy and andragogy, sound decision making, critical thinking, instructional design and planning, equity, and flexibility. He enjoys Professional Learning Communities, sharing instructional practices, analyzing data, targeting interventions, and creating cultures of collaboration. I routinely position myself as the person on the team who is comfortable doing a bit of everything and I approach every new project or engagement as a chance to learn and develop my professional skills. Finding creative solutions to challenging problems is one of my specialities, and I am highly adaptable to changing circumstances, needs, and goals. I take pride in having cultivated strong written and verbal communication skills, specializing in engagement strategies and lesson delivery. I enjoy incorporating technology into my instructional practices and look forward to exploring even more ways to make my lessons more engaging and stimulating. I believe that education is about offering learners a personalized approach. My experience working with both adults and younger learners has allowed me to identify and appreciate how students learn. I have consistently demonstrated my ability to foster and reinforce strong professional relationships. I am at my best when given the opportunity to collaborate with and inspire a team. I’m always willing to understand the point of view of others (e.g. students, parents, and educators) and work toward finding creative solutions together. I have undergraduate degree in Biology and Sociology, a Master degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a proud father! I am also privileged to teach graduate classes at the University of Central Florida and serve in Lake Nona Middle School’s learning community and sponsor the school\'s Aviation Club. I also teach Adult English Language Learners at Orange Technical College. I have a wonderful family which includes Stacey, the love of my life, and our beautiful kids. I am so grateful that God is so patient with me.
