A Colonel in the Indian Army retired voluntarily with 25 years plus years of experience both in clinical and non clinical role as Medical Administrator and as an Aerospace Medicine Specialist & Hyperbaric physician.Was posted to Institute of Aerospace Medicine as Head of Dept of Hyperbaric Medicine and High Altitude Physiology. Taught MD students and have many papers published in peer reviewed journals.Contributed significantly in the administration of various medical echelons in the military. Commanded a 100 bedded multi-specialty border static hospital and was running a Ex-serviceman Contributory Health Service Polyclinic in the counterinsurgency area of Jammu And Kashmir. Commanded a field Hospital in West Bengal and was simultaneously offg Colonel Medical of three hospitals. Made a bedded isolation facility with state of art ICU and HDU for COVID 19 patients in record time.The patients were from outside the area of responsibility and in station the cantonment was kept covid free by the continous monitoring, persistent efforts in maintaining highest levels of covid protocols with only 59 positive cases, hence was awarded the General officer in chief Eastern Command commendation in Jan 2021. Earned accolades from ‘The Chief of Army Staff’ and ‘The Vice Chief of Army Staff’ while looking after the extremely sensitive and confidential Human Resource Management & Manpower issues of almost doctors of the Indian Army at Army Headquarters, New Delhi.Taken over as CMO Interglobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo) from 01 Jun 2022.AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION : Aviation Medicine, Hospital Management & Administration, Quality control management, Medical related procurement, Man management, Human Resource Management & empanelment, Project planning, Resource & Personal Relationship management and marked improvement in patient care and safety.
