I am currently the Early Career Officer for the British Association for Romantic Studies (BARS). Key responsibilities of the role include- Co-convene the Nineteenth-Century Matters Fellowship: designing and delivering a call for applicants; leading the review committee to select a new Fellow; designing and delivering a call for new host institutions and mentors; facilitating professional development opportunities for research staff by tailoring the Mentor’s role to align with their individual career goals; delivering regular progress updates to the BARS Executive- Mentoring and managing a team of 2 PGR Reps through the successful organisation of the 2025 BARS PGR & ECR Conference- Regularly producing written and oral reports to BARS Exec to monitor conference progress- Member of a working group to design and deliver a BARS membership survey.
