I am a licensed clinical psychologist and health service provider with significant experience in public speaking, management, and leadership. I am currently the Director of Internship Training and Director of the Adult Psychology Service (APS) at Jackson Health System in Miami, FL. Prior to this, I worked for the VA Healthcare System and in the private sector in Boston, MA, as a Clinical Director at Commonwealth Psychology Associates before returning to Miami in 2014 to set up my own practice in Coral Gables. I am a compassionate therapist, a collaborative leader, and a thoughtful and engaging speaker.My areas of clinical interest and expertise include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety-related disorders, depression, executive coaching, performance enhancement, relationship issues, bereavement and adjustment due to loss, chronic pain management, end of life issues, and situational stressors. I conduct counseling, coaching, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis on an individual basis or as part of comprehensive couples and family treatment using various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, ACT, existential, family systems, and EMDR. I earned a Doctorate of Psychology and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and completed an APA internship at the Harvard Medical School/ VA Boston Healthcare System. I have been a clinical supervisor at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), and an Adjunct Professor at Emmanuel College, and I am currently an Associated Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.
