ABOUT CIHAN ULAS
I am a Software Project Manager and Senior Software Engineer working on surface inspection and industrial machine vision systems, focusing on high-performance, real-time C++ software architectures and large-scale inspection platforms used in production environments.I hold a Ph.D. in Control and Automation Engineering, with a research focus on 3D Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) for large-scale outdoor environments. My academic work covers probabilistic estimation, sensor fusion, and real-time systems, and has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed journal and conference publications.Previously, I worked as a Senior Researcher at TÜBİTAK-BİLGEM TEMPEST Test Laboratory, where I developed automated TEMPEST/EMSEC test systems compliant with SDIP-27 standards. My work involved RF signal acquisition, FFT and correlation-based signal processing, and investigations of compromising electromagnetic emanations, including the reconstruction of video display information from unintended emissions.My professional interests lie at the intersection of industrial computer vision, surface inspection, embedded and real-time systems, electromagnetic security, and applied signal processing, with a strong focus on translating research into robust, deployable systems.
