I am an outcome-driven Sustainability leader with deep insights into circularity, traceability, and sustainable innovation across business sectors and value chains. I am passionate about enabling businesses to implement sustainability in their manufacturing supply chains and believe that businesses have a huge role to play in creating a sustainable and equitable world. In my career span of twenty-five years, I have served various regional and global leadership positions with dynamic organizations such as DyStar, Gap Inc, Burberry, and Laudes (C&A) Foundation, to implement sustainability and has well-rounded experience across the breadth of sustainable agriculture, raw materials, standards and certifications, supply chain manufacturing, and sustainable technology to corporate sustainability, advocacy, institutional building, and multi-stakeholder collaborations with Fashion, Textiles, Paper, Chemicals, Agriculture and related industries. My academic credentials include a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Sustainable Textiles from Delhi University, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sustainability from Harvard University Extension School, several articles and research papers on sustainability in the textiles supply chain, organic cotton in reputed journals and multiple speaking opportunities at many conferences. I also hold a Patent on “Organic Cotton Identification Technology in India.” I have been awarded the Global Sustainability Leadership Award in 2013 by the CSR World Congress, have served on the Advisory Board of various organizations and played an instrumental role in developing sustainability frameworks for the textile and chemical industry. I have also authored two books namely “Simplifying Corporate Sustainability” in 2016 and Integrating Corporate Sustainability” in 2019 in my capacity to simplify the concept and principles of Sustainable Development and Corporate Sustainability for corporate organizations.
