Serves on the President’s Extended Cabinet, Deans Council, and Academic Affairs Council• Coordinates the community strategic plan implementation in Academic Affairs • Research, inventories, and assesses Clayton State’s workforce development programs (credit and non-credit), identifying areas of workforce need that are notwell served, and provides research on potential partnerships with external agencies and employers• Serves on campus committees relevant to workforce training and/or other strategic initiatives• Participates/presents to community partners and organizations designed to advance the priorities of workforce and economic development. Partnerships includelocal Workforce Investment Boards, labor and industry councils, public school systems, local and regional chambers, and business councils• Partners with the division of Enrollment Management to provide strategic planning and leadership to the off-campus instructional sites and the dual-enrollment program• Engages in outreach to businesses and organizations in surrounding counties (e.g. school boards, development authorities, chambers of commerce)• Supports the offering of Continuing and Professional Education programs at off campus instructional sites• Collaborates with the Division of University Advancement to secure local support for the University’s scholarship and development initiatives• Oversees and executes articulation agreements and MOU development with academic and workforce partners• Works with Deans and Department heads on aligning programming to student and workforce demands. This includes discussing internal and external metrics such as student retention, course offerings/fill ratios, local workforce needs both met and unmet, business partnerships, student internship opportunities/placement, alumni relations, etc.
