ABOUT CASSANDRA LENZA
Dr. Cassandra Lenza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Healing on Hudson LLC, a growing network of specialized therapists in New Jersey. She specializes in using evidence-based treatments to treat anxiety, including generalized anxiety, work-related anxiety, becoming a new mom, and balancing life transitions, depression, eating disorders, body image, and trauma. She works with both teens and adults across the lifespan. Many of her clients are college students, young professionals, young moms, and/or young families looking for additional support.Cassandra’s therapeutic approach is to blend science with true connection. She takes an integrated approach that blends both behavioral and psychodynamic modalities, and is formally-trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also a yoga teacher, so she will incorporate mindfulness techniques and guided meditation, if helpful. She spends time with her clients looking at the root causes of their symptoms and helping them develop acceptance and self-compassion.When working with a client with an eating disorder, she takes a team-oriented approach and frequently works with other providers, including dietitians, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, etc. to ensure her client’s needs are being met. She also takes it one step at a time to see if the right level of care is being offered.Cassandra has over ten years of experience and has a deep understanding of what it takes to help clients heal and grow. Prior to opening her private practice, she was Clinical Director of BALANCE, a leading eating disorder treatment center in NYC. She also completed a two-year postgraduate program at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia. Her team has two offices: in vibrant urban Hoboken, NJ, and in the Jersey shore beach town of Manasquan. Her team also offers virtual therapy & tele-health.Cassandra received her Masters of Social Work from Columbia University and her Doctorate of Social Work from New York University, where she is an active member of the scholastic community.
