Non-executive Director for Food Standards Scotland, SEPA and Commission Member for the Accounts Commission for Scotland. Previously Non-Executive Director of Skills Development Scotland and Chair of Friends of Cedarbank Charity. Member of Audit and Risk committees in three of these organisations and member of the Finance and performance committees in two. I am passionate about public protection and improving lives and as such been involved in specific project areas:Board Champion for Flooding and Transformation within SEPA. Board Lead for Risk Management, Sustainability and Regulatory reform / Transformation in FSSAccounts Commission sponsor for the report on Transformation in Councils and the Additional Support for Learning Briefing plus Risk Management support.Previous member of several boards, government advisory groups around health, education and workforce development. Supported the development of regulation nationally and policies and procedures internationally. I bring to my boards roles a wide breadth of public, private and third sector experience from over 20 years of transformational change management, governance, audit, risk management, organisational development, stakeholder engagement, strategic leadership, financial management and driving performance improvement and significant growth in large complex global organisations. Worked at an executive level in AstraZeneca, Kellogg’s, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Edinburgh Partnership (a national start up) and at a strategic leadership level in PepsiCo, Reckitt Benckiser and Bield Housing and Care.
