I was asked to return to this former employer and oversee the robotic packaging operation of pool salt outside the Port of Wilmington, Delaware to reduce waste, maintain quality, and increase efficiency. Our workers were contracted through an equipment manufacturing company based in the United Kingdom. The process was to bring in salt by bulk vessel from overseas, offload the salt at the port, and then transfer it by truck to our facility for robotic packaging and palletizing and then storage onsite for eventual distribution. We now have contracted with a USA based company to handle the procurement and packaging process at several east coast locations.
