ABOUT BHOOMI PATIL
I’m Dr. Bhoomi Patil, a medical doctor (MBBS) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)-certified professional, with a strong passion for bridging medicine, mental health, and clinical research. My journey began in hospital medicine, where I developed a deep understanding of patient care, diagnostics, and ethical medical practice. Over time, my focus expanded toward addiction recovery, crisis intervention, and digital health innovation, allowing me to work across diverse healthcare environments.Currently, I serve as an Addiction Counsellor at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and a Mental Health Crisis Worker at the Barrett Centre for Crisis Support (Good Shepherd Hamilton & Toronto). In these roles, I provide trauma-informed, compassionate care to individuals navigating complex mental health and substance use challenges. I conduct risk assessments, deliver crisis stabilization, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic recovery and continuity of care.Alongside my clinical work, I hold certifications in Good Clinical Practice (NIDA & Novartis), CPR/AED/First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I have also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health at Mohawk College, building on my previous Postgraduate Diploma in Concurrent Disorders — strengthening my ability to integrate technology, research, and clinical practice. My goal is to transition into a Clinical Research Coordinator role within a GTA hospital or research center, where I can apply my medical background, research ethics, and frontline patient care experience to contribute to advancing medical innovation and improving patient outcomes.Let’s connect if you’re hiring or collaborating in clinical research, behavioral health, or digital health transformation — I’m always open to meaningful conversations that drive compassionate and evidence-based care forward.
