ABOUT BENJAMIN MORITZ
Dr. Benjamin Moritz is Head of Investment Research and a member of the Investment Committee at FINVIA. He leads the development of advanced investment solutions across public and private markets—combining data-driven analysis, state-of-the-art technology, and nearly 20 years of deep investment expertise.At FINVIA, he and his team forecast returns, risks, and correlations; build multi-period portfolio optimization frameworks; run scenario and stress tests; and model cash flows and NAVs for alternative investments. He also develops tailored investment proposals for key clients and drives the strategic build-up of FINVIA’s Investment Consulting business unit.Benjamin has been integrating Artificial Intelligence into investment management since 2014. His research on machine learning and text-based asset allocation received the Best Paper Award from the German Finance Association and the Advancement Award for Artificial Intelligence in the Financial Sector. His work has been cited more than 215 times, and he has presented his research and AI insights at more than 20 conferences and institutions worldwide.He regularly supervises research collaborations with students from LMU Munich, UC Berkeley, TU Munich, and the University of Cologne.
