ABOUT BHAVEEN KALIDAS
I began my career as a medical doctor in South Africa’s public health system, working in high-acuity, resource-constrained environments such as Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital — the largest hospital in Africa and the Southern Hemisphere.Thereafter, I gained experience across intensive care, nephrology, and paediatric gastroenterology, working within multidisciplinary teams and managing complex presentations with a patient-centred approach. I later served as a Medical Officer at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital, where I was responsible for the psychogeriatric unit and a chronic inpatient ward.Seeking to influence systems beyond the bedside, I completed my MBA at INSEAD to deepen my understanding of strategy and business. I joined BCG in March 2026 and am focused on applying both clinical and strategic training to complex, cross-industry challenges.
