I have the work experience, spanning more than 24 years, in the field of agriculture/horticulture and agribusiness, policy formulation, consulting, program development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, team leadership, research and development, trainings and conferences including teaching. I have a good experience of working on development of agriculture policy framework, project conceptualization, analysis, review, implementation support, knowledge management, coordination with expert institutions/stakeholders/experts, organizing policy dialogue, workshops and conferences. My educational qualification includes PhD in Agriculture (Horticulture), MBA, MSc.(Plant Science), Certificate in Management Consulting, Public Policy Analysis (LSE) and PG Diploma in Distance education. At present I am working as Senior Consultant (Agriculture), NITI Aayog - A Policy Think tank of Govt. of India. I have also worked as Chief Operating Officer, Navankur (Farm to Market ), as a Project Manager (GEF Project), Rainforest Alliance, as a Director (Agribusiness & Food Processing), PHD Chamber of Commerce (PHDCCI), New Delhi. I also worked as Senior Technical Consultant (Agriculture/Horticulture) and was also in-charge (Agroforestry/Forestry), at NRAA, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (MoA & FW), Govt.of India (GoI). Worked as a Consultant Grade 2 at NITI Aayog, and as a Consultant, MIDH/NHM, MoA & FW, GoI. Also worked with corporate sectors like Manager-GAPL; VP-IASL (Agriwatch) where I worked on various agriculture projects assigned by GoI, and International organizations. Also worked as an Independent Director, CHAI and as a Professor, Amity University, Noida. Presented papers and keynote lectures in national and international conferences. Edited magazines and journals and authored/edited 15 books. Fellow of three professional societies. I am also the recipient of Dr BH Jain Award for the excellence in dissemination and diffusion of new knowledge.
