ABOUT ASWATHY ALANGODE
My research interest lies in identifying the molecular mechanisms of tissue injury induced by snake venom. Furthermore, Iam also interested in investigating the effect of certain compounds that can mitigate the effect of snake venom-induced cytotoxicity and tissue damage. Ultimately, the research focus lies in identifying critical insights into toxin-neutralization strategies and investigating the potential to develop nature-derived adjunct interventions for managing snakebite pathology. In that regard, we are also pursuing the screening of natural products to identify inhibitors against the medically important “Big 4” snakes in India.
