About Astha Tripathi
I am working on different aspects of wild mushrooms. North-Western Himalaya contains a huge wealth of mushrooms growing in wild. These wild mushrooms are mostly unexplored in terms of bioactive molecules they contain, which are useful for various diseases/disorders and for industrial purpose. During the surveys in the rainy season, my research team collected ectomycorrhzic, saprophytic, edible and some medicinally important mushrooms from different areas of Himachal region forest which have not been earlier surveyed. Mushroom specimens were identified using traditional and molecular taxonomy.
